Why We Built This Site
Missouri gives the public broad access to many court and government records, but the access rule depends on the record. New Madrid County Circuit Court files are searched through Missouri Case.net and handled locally by the Circuit Clerk at the courthouse in New Madrid. Probate matters are part of the Probate Division of the Circuit Court. Marriage licenses and land-related records are handled by Recorder Kayla Phillips, while jail and law-enforcement questions route to the Sheriff/Jail. Missouri Sunshine Law, including Chapter 610 and RSMo 610.011, 610.023, and 610.026, governs county administrative records. Missouri Court Operating Rule 2 governs many court-record access questions.
